Job Summary

As a Software Development Engineer in the Core Storage Engineering (CSE) organization, you will be part of a product development team responsible for building the next generation storage solutions. You will work with a group of talented software engineers focused on delivering the best-in-class enterprise storage products. You will participate in all aspects of product lifecycles including design, development, testing and debugging of software for new storage products as well as enhancements to existing NetApp storage products.

Essential Functions:
Participate in technical discussions with direct team members and with cross-functional team members
Participate in design reviews and make recommendations for product improvements.
Participate in the feature enhancements and maintenance of existing systems
Create technical content to demonstrate best practices (e.g. documentation, videos, etc.)
Job Requirements
Strong experience in Linux internals (kernel, bootloader, systemd, memory management)
Proficient with C and C++ programming
Experience with Python and Golang is a plus
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Experience working with test frameworks that incorporate hardware and low-level software feature testing
Education
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience is required
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, a master’s degree; or equivalent experience is required.
